So I've been reading Brooks' "World War Z", and my fucking God, it's amazing. He's the same author who wrote the official Zombie Survival Guide (Which mine is a companion to. When it's finished, it'll be hosted here.) But man, WWZ is set up like an oral history book, and shit if it didn't get me terrified, and excited, for what we all know IS going to happen. Will it be during my life time? Not necessarily. But why take chances?
Just for kicks, I scavanged around my house/garage/property area and gathered in my room everything I would back in my ruck if the Plague hit and the dead began to rise. I'm looking at the pile on the other side of my room now, and I gotta say, it's not a bad stock:
-3 Katanas of varrying lengths: one 3.5 footer, one 3.0 footer, and one 2.0 footer
-Nordic two-handed broadsword
-Fanbladed sword
-Hard ash wood staff(Will be used for balance and/or crafting a Lobotomizer)
-Crowbar: about 7 lbs, and over 2 feet long
-20 pound sledge hammer
-Several small knives
-Leather bracers and fencing helmet for emergency bite protection
-Sharpened fencing foil for emergencies
-First Aid kit
-Water purifier
-Gas siphon
-Ruck sack than /can/ hold everything
All that I'm really missing is a long range weapon, but for that I have two 80 pound-test crossbows on order with about 100 bolts. I'm no physicist, but I think 80 pounds of pin-point pressure is enough to crack a skull; not enough to pass through, but should be enough to penetrate the brain.
...
Did I never mention I'm veeery passionate about zombies?
No?
Well. This is...probably all a little weird then.
...
I'm ready.
Bring it on, Z.

Partially due to the fact I'm a Joker fan, rofl. But it was well executed.
